The ACRPS has published the 39th issue of the bimonthly peer-reviewed academic journal Siyasat Arabiya, covering political sciences and international relations. This issue includes: "Demographobia in Jerusalem: Reality, Transitions and Forecasts" by Rasim Khamaisi; "The Politics of Contentious Action: Case-Study of the Lebanese "You Stink" Movement" by Stephanie Daher; "Security and Democracy in the Horn of Africa: Djibouti, Somalia and Sudan" by Hassan El Haj Ali and Adiala Ahmed Tabar; "The Military in Mauritania and Algeria and the Democratic Transition Experience" by Boune Oueld Bahe; "Academic Dependency and the Problem of Nationalization of Methodology in the Arab Scholarly Community: Law as a Case Study" by Mohamed Wafik.Also included in this issue is a report by Dana El Kurd from the Public Opinion Polling Unit titled "The Military in Public Opinion: Data from Algeria and Sudan" alongside a translation of Farhad Khosrokhavar's "The New European Jihadism and its Avatars" by Moeen Roumeeh. This is followed by documentation of the Milestones in Democratic Transition in the Arab World 1/5/2019 - 30/6/2019 and Palestine Over Two Months 1/5/2019 - 30/6/2019 along with Documents of Democratic Transition in the Arab World. The issue ends with Rushdi Al Faouri's review of The Shortcomings Within Chronicles of an Unfulfilled Revolution Syria 2011-2012 by Burhan Ghalioun.
